Part 2

After a long day of travelling, we went back to hotel and bathe to refresh ourself. travelling is really tiring but no regrets.
while waiting for our driver to pick us up for dinner, we went to hang out at the poolside...


this is the comfortable seat the hotel provide at the pool side...they even serve cocktails!

Then, we went to this famous place called Jimbaran bay aka money-sucking-seafood-restaurants with beautiful view! The place is really beautiful where we sat and watch sunset sipping on coconut juice and delicious fresh seafood. However, the dinner was expensive yet some what worth it for the view and services they provide us. The weird thing was, all the waiter there thought i was japanese and keep talking to me in jap. though i understand what they were saying but "hello, i'm CHINESE okay....proud of that!" haaha

the sweet escape

Bali 25th February 2009. Part 1.

Our second day there was really hectic. We hired a driver for RM130 a day to take us around Bali. We went to a few places which is quite far like 1 to 2 hours journey there. Sitting in the car seeing the life of people in Bali makes me jealous. They have time to do what they want, even though it is a simple life but they are having a happy one. I know that after this holiday i won't get anymore of easy life that they are having.


Anyway, back to the journey, first stop was to Uluwatu Temple. It was a very nice place with very naughty monkeys! the monkeys will steal things from you and will only return it to you if you have food like bananas or rambutans with you. So, i took most of my jewelery our before going in. However, Chris can't take out his specs! haha.....*psss....his power is 900* So, he bought 3 packets of rambutan to make sure he gets his specs back if the monkey takes it. it was so funny the way he was walking and was so conscious about his specs! =P





This was before we enter to the monkey zone, just outside Uluwatu Temple area. Most of the temples here have the same type of pillar at the gate.

He was trying out the camera and i pop out just to be in the picture with him!

i guess i'm too fat to be in this picture! i covered most of the view behind! ergghh

Here, i think sitting is better, at least can see the sea is so blue!

See, the naughty monkey that ran so fast towards Chris and he didn't even notice. He snatch the pack of rambutans from his hands and sit aside enjoying it...hahaha, how smart of him. He doesn't even need a hostage, he just took the money!

How beautiful, you'll never see this in Malaysia. However, the place was too hot! so we didn't stay long. Just took a few pictures and left. that was one of the reason but the most important reason is that Chris was kinda worried he lose his specs which he'll be blind if he loses it!

When there's a beautiful place for picture to be taken, i'll definately be there! =P forgive me, orthopedics has been giving me a big headache! i'm so stressed and actually i'm giving up my sleeping time for this post...

Greedy greedy monkey who wants both rambutan and egg!!! i think he loves half boiled egg since the weather is so hot, the egg will be half cooked.. good taste monkey!




Then, we went to this sacred monkey forest in a place called Ubud. This place was kinda different from the one just now because the monkeys here are really tame. they don't steal or come near humans. They will just do whatever they are doing and just ignore us.

Even though they are tame but i'm still a bit afraid of them at first. how would you know if they won't just decide to jump on me and scratch me right?

So cute right!

i can;t even remember why i was acting that way...

Then it started raining just after we finish walking. so lucky we found the restaurant my sister recommended us to go to. its called bebek bengil. it is famous for its duck..

the boy drinks the small! hahaha..

okay, this is the deep fried duck that taste so good.... can die... i love it so muchhhh

too bad he doesn't eat duck...what a waste, so he just ate some weird Balinese Fried rice....hahaha

In our little hut where we spent quite sometime there due to the rain.

Guess what this is the Ubud Palace. its a lousy place to go but if you want to buy souvenirs there's a lot at the nearby Ubud market..there's a lot of things to buy but all super over priced...

thats the half of our second day, part 2 will be up soon...probably the weekends... i'm too busy in this ortho posting because i'm the leader... erggghh....

the best sentence i got today " ortho is like that, always have a lot of changes in timetable"....ergghh that means more work for me....AHHHHH

Our secret valentine

Bali, 24th february 2009.
our first day in Bali.
we took an afternoon flight but it was delayed a bit so we reached there at 7pm. Bali's airport looks like the old Subang Airport that i've been when i was young. it looks old, kinda rundown, without nice duty free shops. it was a 3 hour flight to Bali, one thing about booking airasia is you must book air asia planes with flight number starting from "AK" because then the planes are newer and bigger. i didn't expect a 3 hour flight, i thought it was a 1 1/2 hour flight. gosh. luckily i was too excited my airsickness wasn't so bad. we bought the express boarding pass so we get to sit in front with a lot of space in front for our legs!


the dumbo who used up all my handphone battery playing stupid warfare game! ergghhh....every night i have to charge it!

at last, we reached the beautiful hotel of ours.... a deluxe room with king size bed and just 5 steps away from the swmming pool! woohhoo

everyone is a millionaire in Indonesia...hahaha

see, the door to swmming pool! i swim there most of the nights....good exercise....i love the pool!

the bed.....so comfortable. they use quilt covers and not those cheap with and brown blankets....

then we took a taxi to the famous "Made's Warung" in Kuta which was only 5 minutes away from our hotel. the food there is very nice! it was such a good way to start our Bali trip! We were too hungry so we ordered 2 dishes each... ended up with a big bloated stomach and dragging our feets walking around Kuta.

The glorious food. it cost us about Rm70 for the food above. The Pork Satay, *slurrpppsss* too delicious, no words could explain it...

After dinner, we walked around Kuta because they have many many small shops selling all sorts of things, from tourist things to fake branded stuffs like Polo ralph lauren to burberry to louis vuitton.. The one thing i was so curious about is why would someone pay RM70-100 for a fake polo t shirt? its FAKE even though they will tell u stories about it being produced locally... when you touch the quality of the Polo T-shirt, it is so thin and rough... i don't wear but both my sisters love them and have a few of the original ones which cost about RM300-400... so many tourist thinks that it is real and bought it just like that... so unbelievable, they have so many many shops all over bali...

Guess what caught my eye??? KFC baybehh....hahaha....the KFC there is so modern and nice! too bad i was too full to go in there for a meal...
