a touching story, a thing everyone should do!

What would you do? You make the choice! Don't look for a punch line; There isn't one! Read it anyway. My question to all of you is: Would you have made the same choice?

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: "When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?" The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes, in the way other people treat that child.

"Then he told the following story: Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked,"Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps. Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play, not expecting much. The boy looked around for guidance and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning."

Shay struggled over to the team's bench put on a team shirt with a broad smile and his Father had a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible 'cause Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball. However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing the other team putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least be able to make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. The game would now be over, but the pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game. Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the head of the first baseman, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!" Never in his life had Shay ever ran that far but made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled. Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to second base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball, the smallest guy on their team, who had a chance to be the hero for his team for the first time. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and he too intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay" Shay reached third base, the opposing shortstop ran to help him and turned him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay, run to third"

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams and those watching were on their feet were screaming, "Shay, run home! Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the "grand slam" and won the game for his team. That day, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world. Shay didn't make it to another summer and died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his Father so happy and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up that opportunity to brighten the day of those with us the least able, and leave the world a little bit colder in the process? A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them.

pre diabetic

shit. my blood glucose level first reading was 6.3 ,second was 6.1! fasting blood glucose normal range is 3.6 - 6.0! people my age should be around 4. wth. didn't really check my bllod glucose. until one morning i went to uni and we learn how to take blood glucose. i haven't eaten anything before that so its fasting blood glucose. 6.3! freaking sky high! everyone was 3 or 4 only. damn. i was like the odd one out. i didn't believe the reading. the next morning, i use my dad's glucometer and test. fasting also. 6.1! AHHHHHHH!!! this is called the pre diabetic stage. have to go for this OGTT(oral glucose tolerance test) . just learn this during lecture today.

Solution : sugar-free diet! no chocolates, no sweets, no doughnuts, no soft drinks, cut down my rice/ mee

result : 4.7! ahahaha. after my one day of very stressful sugar-free diet okay.

people who knows me well will know how difficult it is for me. i eat sweets all the time. chocolate also. what to do, my house everyone also don't eat those. so to prevent wasting, it all goes into my tummy. teehee. i've tried eating like 7 krispy kreme doughnuts a day plus my normal meals!

those were the days.

now, i'm seriously going to cut down all those. i have to resist all the temptations. but i know i can't. shit. i've never go through any diet at all! not even to lose weight okay. now i have to go on a diet for my health when i'm still so young. i love to eat. thats my biggest problem!

blame it on the super long diabetes history in my family. almost all my aunty and uncles from my dad's side has diabetes.

please don't blame me if i'm easily irritable or angry. thats because i have to cut all my lovely food out of my life. its not easy. and i easily fall into the temptation of food.

i need a really strong will power in order to do so.

i'm trying my very best.

200 pounds beauty

A MUST WATCH movie. its a super emo show. really touching and funny. pretty hot girl. cute handsome guy. happy ending! =) thats what i love in a movie!

its about this fat and ugly girl who can sing very very well but because of her looks, she can't be a "real" singer. she have to sing for another girl who have the looks and the body but cant sing. and she fell in love with the producer. then she went for plastic surgery and WOW! she looks so pretty after that. she even slim down half her usual size. she disappeared for 1 year and came back with a new identity. then she went for audition and became a singer! however, the guy she likes is her producer now and he doesn't like plastic surgery girls. She also lied that she's a natural beauty which is her selling point. but after becoming a singer, she realise that she neglected a lot of people like her dad and her friend. then she realise she needs to be herself back again. she confess to her fans during her concert but they all didn't mind and continue supporting her! and of course....he loves her toO! not because of her looks but because of her!

kim ah jung, the actress. super hot

by the way,

i've seriously NEVER met any guy who would be interested in knowing a fat and ugly girl. all GUYS look at and admire pretty girls like kim ah jung.i was wondering, if guys don't look at the not so pretty ones, how would they get to know the person?? then how would they like them?? it doesn't make sense. guys only likes pretty girls! thats a fact! i hate it when i hear a guy calling a girl ugly or fat. i mean, whats your problem? you are not perfect either. so, don't judge. so what if she's ugly or fat? does it bother you? if it does go look at the mirror, i guess that will bother you too.

someone maybe not so pretty/handsome, not so smart, body is not as hot as you wanted. so what? stop talking about them. get a life.

songs from the soundtrack that i think its really nice..

Sudu, Hilton KL

i went there with my mum and my sis for their semi- buffet. i've been to many different buffets but this is my first time going for a semi-buffet. a new thing for me! *claps* haha.. the semi buffet is actually buffet for appetizers and deserts when you order their main. the price range from rm89++ to 109++ depends on the main you call. my first impression when i first read about it was that i won't be too full yet i'll get to eat buffet. however, when i went there, it was seriously beyond what i expect. there are so many choices of appetizers! and they look so cute. because they come in small little plates. i tried every single one they have and i was already FULL! when my main came, luckily it wasn't a big portion. i called this duck breast thing. i thought it would be like the one i ate at Shook! but it wasn't. this one is quite dry though. didn't really like it. i prefer the one in Shook! that one they gave this delicious sauce on top. super yummy. haha. my sis took the salmon, quite nice.. my mum took the chicken which was really nice and fillinG! then i went for deserts, tried everything there, not bad. their deserts are really different from the normal buffet type. i think its a good try. they have this durian roll, very nice. then they also have like green tea cheese cake, white chocolate cheese cake. all nice nice nice! they also have the chocolate fountain! like Shangri-La. my love. teehee. they have ice cream too. but only 3 flavours ; choc, strawberry and sweet corn. the bad thing about the ice cream is that its too hard , so difficult to scoop. guess what i did? the waiter came and scoop for this small boy and i just went and queue up for him to scoop for me too! hahaha. i'm still young. not 21 yet! =P the good thing about the ice cream is that it taste like some expensive ice cream and not those walls or nestle ice cream like in normal buffets. Oh...and i forgot to mention , the service there is superB! really good service from the waiters. quite a good place to hang out to eat and talk with friends or family! it was one good meal. at least i felt happy that day despite the fact that i have to start university the next day. kinda cheer me up a little. what to do...FOOD does make me happy. haha. but now, FAT FAT n ROUND ROUND face!
